What if there is no such thing as the mundane, and our perception of things as mundane is governed by how we look at them? In this workshop, participants will learn techniques for approaching everyday activities with spiritual intent. After sharing his own story related to this work, Durgadas will explore ways to turn work into a venue for spiritual development, integrate household chores into spiritual practice, and even methods for coming into greater intimacy with the items in our homes and the plants where we live. By engaging in practices like this, participants will learn to increasingly experience the everyday parts of their life as divine.

Presenting: The Queer Sabbat: Magic, Ecstasy, And The Celebration Of Queer Lives

Saturday, May 14th, 2022 at 12:00PM PST

Queer people have often been driven from the religions of their childhoods causing us to look elsewhere for spiritual nourishment. Often those mainstream religions have instilled in us a sense of shame and disconnection that we then bring into our new religious homes, most often without even realizing it. While many have found a home in modern Paganism, there are still heterosexist biases which entangle our lives and spirits, necessitating a venture into a queer-specific spiritual modality to better center our own experiences in our spiritual lives. With this in mind we shall explore the life experiences of queer people as spiritual rites of passage, from coming out of the closet to going to our first gay bar and recognizing them as powerful expressions of the queer spirit. We will explore the seemingly mundane aspects of queer culture and reframe them as spiritual passageways through which we may more deeply connect to our own spirits and find a spiritual home that doesn’t just tolerate us but celebrates us for all that we are.

Presenting: A Tantric Approach To Gay Witchcraft

Sunday, May 15th, 2022 at 12:00PM PST

Leave the dishes unwashed, ignore the vacuuming, let the laundry stay in the dryer, and come to this workshop. Seriously. Leaving some simple, mundane task that takes about 5 minutes to accomplish undone will benefit you greatly during this workshop. You’ll be glad you did.

At its core, all sacred sexuality is about finding the face of God in the embrace of another. When applied to Gay men, it becomes about finding the face of God in the embrace of another man and learning to see our own sexuality as divine. Unfortunately, because of the burning times, witches have had much of our wisdom stolen from us, so we have no choice but to turn to practices like Tantra in the East and reconstruct something unique for ourselves.

Though we may start with a basis in Tantric-style practices, the goal is to eventually create something authentically our own. This workshop gives you the tools to get started. This introductory workshop creates the foundation for developing your own unique magical practice of sacred sexuality as a witch or occultist.

We will touch on topics that include:
•A brief history of sacred sexuality. (It’s a vast topic!)
•The 3 key elements of what makes something sacred and how to sanctify your own sexual activities.
•Practical methods for bringing sacred sexuality into your daily life.
•Mindfulness & The Tantric Approach
•The Chakras and their role within sacred sex
•Beginning to Craft your own sacred sexual practice.

Dayan Martinez has been following the pagan/animist path for almost 18 years on and off, and an initiated brother of the Unnamed Path since December 2017. Though Dayan has learned and practiced different paths, techniques, and rituals, Dayan’s true unique work bloomed in 2015, when the Sovereign Spirit of “Florida” revealed herself. Intense study and exploration followed, as well as a year-long experiment led by folks to encounter Mother Florida in gatherings and conferences throughout the state. A worldview emerged slowly, spending the time since contemplating and refining and observing its rippling effects as people and groups encountered took on their own practice of honoring Mother Florida! Formal apprenticeship in the Unnamed Path reinforced the approaches and foundations for this endeavor. Dayan has begun an ambitious research project through an anthropology degree to trace ancient priesthoods of MWLM spanning the entire Neolithic, from Gobekli Tepe in southern Turkey to Stonehenge in southern England. Employing practices of spirit contact mixed with scholarly research have only favored the expansion of the project.

Presenting: Sovereign Spirits For Queer Animists

Saturday, May 14th, 2022 at 2:00PM PST

There is a class of spirit that goes beyond and encompasses what is traditionally known as land spirits, mountain spirits, forest spirits, and so on. These are similar to the many Mother Earths of the world’s mythologies, localized to specific bioregions where they hold sway. We will explore this possibly unique and emerging worldview through the lens of geography, geology, world mythology, spirit work, and animism. Along with our discussion, we will also learn two practices or techniques for devotional work and communication with sovereign spirits where you live.

Jason Freshwater is a brother Initiate in the Unnamed Path He is also a witch and priest in the Tradition of Stone Circle Wicca (USA), where he was recently elected to serve as a Trustee. His experiences and interests include meetings that stay on-task and run well, transformative group ceremony, personally transformative and experimental personal practice, and queer empowerment spirituality.
